Hi everyone,

I want to share an update regarding ThinLinc’s use within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments. Both Google Cloud and NVIDIA have recently published resources highlighting ThinLinc for cloud-based workflows.

These repositories and official guidelines are designed to help users deploy a scalable **Linux VDI** (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) for graphics-intensive cloud workloads, providing a responsive **Linux remote GUI** for complex applications.

- **[NVIDIA Omniverse GCP Prerequisites](https://docs.omniverse.nvidia.com/developer_workstations/latest/gcp/prerequisites.html):** NVIDIA’s official documentation now explicitly cites Cendio’s ThinLinc as the required application for connecting to graphical desktops on Linux-based VMIs (Virtual Machine Images) within Google Cloud.

- **[GCP + NVIDIA Isaac Sim with ThinLinc](https://github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/scientific-computing-examples/tree/main/remote%20visualization/GCP_NVIDIA_Isaac_Sim_Thinlinc):** Published in the GCP Scientific Computing GitHub repository, this template demonstrates how to configure ThinLinc for visual access to Isaac Sim workloads. It is specifically structured for users requiring high-performance **Linux visualization** for robotics simulation and AI infrastructure.

- **[HPC Remote Visualization with ThinLinc](https://github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/scientific-computing-examples/tree/main/remote%20visualization/HPC-remote-viz-Thinlinc):** Also from the Google Cloud team, this repository provides a configuration blueprint for establishing remote visualization for High-Performance Computing (HPC) clusters hosted on GCP.

If you are running similar workloads on Google Cloud, or if you plan to test these specific deployment templates, feel free to share your experiences or ask questions in the thread below.

Best,
