Cendio are proud to present ThinLinc 4.13.0, with more than 120 enhancements and fixes. The most prominent changes are:

- The ThinLinc server has been updated to use Python 3 and GTK+ 3 in order to be more compatible with the latest distributions and with future distributions. Distributions where Python 3 is not available are no longer supported by this or future versions of ThinLinc.

- ThinLinc 4.12.0 unfortunately introduced a security regression where malicious users on a ThinLinc agent could cause other user’s sessions to freeze and lock up. This regression has been fixed in this version of ThinLinc and all users currently using ThinLinc 4.12.0 or later are recommended to upgrade as soon as is possible.

- Some stability issues with Kerberos on Windows have been fixed and the ThinLinc client should now work reliably with Kerberos on all platforms.

A detailed description of the this release is available at [ThinLinc 4.13.0 Release Notes | ThinLinc by Cendio](https://www.cendio.com/thinlinc/docs/relnotes/4.13.0)

The client and server software can be downloaded directly from our web page. As before, the software is completely free for up to 5 concurrent users.

The same applies to thinRoot. I also have updated the relevant ThinLinc buildroot packages to version 4.13.0:

> **[GitHub - jens-maus/thinRoot: thinRoot is a buildroot (https://buildroot.org/)...](https://github.com/jens-maus/thinRoot)**

The only thing that’s missing is ThinLinc support for the aarch64/arm64 version for RaspberryPi3/RaspberryPi4, but simply just because there is no ThinLinc aarch64/arm64 version yet. Any chance that you guys (@aaron) at cendio will release a 64bit version for the ARM platform as well? Would help a lot to push thinRoot further into a more flexible ThinClient platform for ThinLinc!
