Currently ThinLinc server requires an x86_64 (or compatible) CPU.
Are there any plans to support ARM architecture on the server?
Is it possible to dream of this in the not so distant future?
ThinLinc is by far the best choice for Linux server-based computing infrastructure. I can’t find a similar alternative for ARM
I don’t think there are any concrete plans for this at the moment unfortunately, @samuel is that correct?
@aaron That is correct. There is a lot of groundwork that is required before we can even consider doing something like this. The good news is that this groundwork is ongoing as we speak, late next year, a step like this might not be as big of a hurdle.
@samuel, I understand that this is not a promise, but I am already happy with your feedback.
I have been testing other solutions, but none of them work as well as ThinLinc.
I hope that a version of ThinLinc Server with support for ARM CPUs becomes a reality at some point.
Congratulations on your work!
