I use thinlinc client to remote into an ubuntu computer and want to be able to switch input languages when using the remote computer. The only way I have found to do this is to change the input source on the computer running the thinlinc client.
Any thoughts much appreciated.
TIA

@CendioOssman any insights here?
This is how ThinLinc is designed to handle keyboards. The layout of the client device is what it tries to respect, not the layout of the server. Except for some corner cases, the server layout is completely ignored.
Hi CendioOssman,
Thank you for your response that is very helpful, now I know this is the behaviour I can close this ticket.
My use case is that I have a linux box at home that I use for my main computer and I remote into that box when I am out and want to do any work.
I often need to switch language input, so this just means that I need to drop out of full screen mode, and change the input language on my host machine each time I want to change input languge, a little tedious but now I know this is the only way of achieving this.
Cheers
