Trying to access my desktop from outside of my network

so to start im a total noob when it come to this stuff but im trying. i verified ,after some time getting the displays to work with a graphics card, that everything is working inside of my network. i then tried to connect from outside my network; portforwarded 22 and 904, enabled ssh from outside network on the ssh conf file, checked logs to find it is connecting and starting a session, but it keeps timing out. any help would be awesome. any questions you have ill try my best to answer but if you can explain what you need like im a 3 year old that would be great. Thanks.

I’d suggest that you set agent_hostname to a hostname that your internal and external clients can resolve to a reachable ip address.

agent_hostname is configured in vsmagent.hconf file. You need to restart the vsmagent service afterwards.

so i did set it to my external ip which still didnt work.

nvm i misunderstood let me try again with the right ip

dude your a legend got it working. tested on an outside network. not sure if i still need all of these ports open but im gunna test some of these. thanks so much!!
