Have you noticed that the ThinLinc Linux client tends to feel a bit slow if you have an animation running in your remote browser window (even a tiny animated gif)?
Try this: [F8] [Options] and in the Optimization screen set Custom Compression Level to 2 or 3.
Voilà – full speed ahead.
