I am planing to upgrade my fedora 40 (kde) to fedora 41, but as I recall when I did the switch from 39 to 40 everything broke down because of wayland. Is there anyone who have tried to run thinlinc on 41 with a kde desktop?

Upgrading to Fedora 41 should be alright. As long as plasma-workspace-x11 is installed that is. We have a platform-specific note about it here:
While not exactly the answer you were looking for, thinlinc works fine on Fedora 41 with a Gnome wayland session.
