Is “Samba Winbind” with Thinlinc a supported method to join the Linux VDA to Active directory or is it only SSSD?

Hi,

ThinLinc uses PAM for authentication, so your PAM stack will determine the authentication mechanism used. This should work fine with both winbind and SSSD, however SSSD is much more common these days for authentication against Active Directory.

Thanks for the clarification and good to know that it can use winbind or SSSD or anything else. I’ve only used and configured Winbind when setting up Citrix RHEL VDA’s with AD. I’ll try it winbind and then SSSD.
