The best alternative to get access to a remote ThinLinc session from an iPad or other tablets is through the ThinLinc browser client as currently there is no iOS specific client.

One good practice to make the life easier is to add a shortcut icon on the home screen of your iPad or iPhone for the web adress where the ThinLinc client is available.
