I need help building a server at school (AppArmor config issue)

I need help with configurating AppArmor
the messege:
“could not configure AppArmor for ThinLink”

1. Can i deal without it & what does it mean?
2. how do i fix it? (I’m running the newest kali-linux

I have a log file that it told me to give to support, but it will not let me upload it here.

Please help! I’m building a server at my school and if it is not ready in 2 weeks i will not get it in time for summer break! (~300 computers)

Hi @itoo11235,

AppArmor is a security layer similar to SELinux, which controls access to various system resources. Sometimes this can prevent ThinLinc from working properly, so the installer will give you the option to configure it automatically.

You should have the option to skip this step if it is failing. But this may result in AppArmor blocking some ThinLinc operations.
