Hello everyone,
Recently i started using ThinLinc in my homelab, but there was something a bit sad: no specific OS. For this reason, i created a fully-customisable solution based on Linux. Feel free to poke around, it is based on Arch and uses KDE Plasma as a desktop. I might even make a guide on how to customize it, if many people are interested by it. A link will be posted tomorrow.
Sorry, what? Give me more info
Sorry for my late reply, it is basically an OS that only runs the thinlinc client as user-available interface (it supports SSH and you can install Cockpit or Ajenti to have a webui for admin purposes). It is based on Arch Linux and uses the KDE Plasma desktop environment. Sadly i will not post the image as it contains a salt of my wifi password and SSID, and a root password i do not want to disclose, but i am working on an installation guide that you can follow. The OS is lightweight and is made to be deployed using something like Fog Project or Clonezilla SE. It was created and tested on a Compaq Presario c700 from 2007, and it works great. However, beware of hardware that uses proprietary drivers (like MacBooks, old HPs (because of the Broadcom Wifi card)) from Broadcom or Nvidia, because they are likely not installed on that OS. I do not have a name for it but for the sake of this post i will call it “TLCOS” (short for thinlinc client operating system)
