I’ve successfully deployed TL-server, everything works fine, web access, TL-client connections etc… all good. My only concern is that I’ve been looking for a solution that would connect to the actual opened session locally on the host. Like locking my session from my workplace host and TL’in in from a remote location… Though according to my testings, TL deal’s with TL based “sessions” and not the actual “console” opened session, correct?
Correct, ThinLinc does not connect to any local running sessions on the server, but instead ships with its own X server (Xvnc) and creates virtual sessions.
Thanks a lot for your time Martin. I guess there is no ways to alter that fact?
TL is wonderful, I’ve got to say !! Just a shame for me i cannot hook on the local sessions.
No, not with ThinLinc by itself. You could, of course, setup and configure a local running VNC server that provides access to the local session, and from within the ThinLinc session use a vncviewer to access it.
