I am having issues in both the web client and linux application with permissions for drives, files, etc. I am logged in to the Ubuntu 24 host with a sudo user.

This sounds like an issue with the operating system rather than ThinLinc; ThinLinc does not handle access to local files or drives. You may need to check the operating system logs for clues here.
